Scene: Trying in vain to find American election coverage on the three Canadian channels we get. No very successful, watching This Hour has 22 Minutes instead.
Me: "I think...I would sleep with Rick Mercer"
Him: eyebrows raised
Me (justifyingly): "You know, it's the humour..."
Him (deadpan):"I don't think I needed to know that about you"

Got a full out laugh on that one, I can totally see it. Alas my sun and stars had a similar reaction when I pronounced simply that Mercer was 'cute' and would be fun to 'date'. haha
