To the asshat undergrads I was walking behind this afternoon:
Maybe you didn't puke you guts out all day Sunday because you were hung-over. Maybe - just maybe - the fact you "passed out" unconscious is a toilet bowl Saturday night (by your own admission!) caused you to pick up some gut-wrenching germ from the feces halo. And if so, well, I guess you kinda deserve it. Welcome to second semester. Now don't touch me.

The Question
What do you do with all those foam boxes in the lab?
The Answer (according to Invitrogen, Medicorp and a bunch of others): "Just throw them away".
...you know, even though they are styrofoam and still completely capable of doing their job but are just unfortunately in the wrong physically spot right now...just throw them away.
Science=fail. Grrr..

Reverse chronological order, Christmas to Fall>>
Our Christmas tree, CB style. Bat cote, Omnivore's Dilemna, socks, a painting, and an electric skillet. And a few awesome Christmas cards.
Part of the foodstuffs I made as Christmas presents for my sister and mom. Instead of gifts, I bought, prepared and froze copious amounts of meals, including lovely stuffed green pepper (shown here), honey mustard chicken breasts & zesty Italian pasta salad.
Next year, I'll aim for locally-sourced and organic.
This year, I was just happy the meals got finished and frozen in time. This was the most food I've had in the house since we moved in.
Dust protection.
Buh-bye plaster (dining room-will-be-kitchen)
Ripped up back parlour. Cool, uber-old wallpaper peaking out from top left corner.
see it?
Said wallpaper, close-up. Gold foil!
Serene landscape!
Socks I knit for my brother-in-law. My first completed pair. They matched an ugly wool sweater I bought him (complete with pheasant and hunting dog motif).
Apple crisp from the last orchard apples.
First snow.
New pet. (not really)
Furby the barn kitten, happy and warm.
Bathed and shivering.
Hubby in Cape Breton.
Celtic Colours.
East Coast. Finale.
